Tofu Jerky

This jerky takes practically no time to prepare, but ample time to dry out in a food dehydrator or oven. Prep the night before and place in the dehydrator in the morning before you go to work and come home to perfectly seasoned and chewy vegan jerky!

Tofu Jerky
2 lbs extra firm tofu, drained
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup vegan worcestershire sauce
3 tbl maple syrup
2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp liquid smoke
1 tsp cumin

Place a layer of paper towels on top of each tofu block and place something really heavy on top to weigh down (like a cast iron pan). Press the tofu for at least 30 minutes. Slice into 1/4" rectangles and place in a 9x13" baking dish.
Combine all of the remaining ingredients together and pour over the tofu. Marinate overnight (at least 8 hours), flipping once or twice during this time.
Heat a food dehydrator to 160F degrees and dry for 9-10 hours.
