15 minute Apple Fritters

These apple fritters can be put together, fried and enjoyed in a mere 15 minutes. Recipes like these are few and far between on my blog so take it in while you can people!

With apples being in season, I get a little sick of pies and crisps. Those take time and when I have a craving for something sweet, these little bites are perfect, quick and pleasing to everyone.

Apple Fritters
2 apples, peeled, small dice (I like red/green varieties like Fuiji & Macintosh)
1/3 cup organic light brown sugar
1 tbl cinnamon
1/4 tsp allspice
1/4 tsp salt
1/8 tsp ground cloves
1 cup all-purpose flour
7 oz sparkling apple cider
peanut oil
organic powdered sugar

Combine the apples with sugar, cinnamon, allspice, salt and ground cloves in a bowl.
In another bowl, whisk together the flour and apple cider. Add the apples and stir gently to combine and set aside.
Heat 1 inch of oil in a large saute pan or pot to 360.
Once the oil is up to temperature, drop scoopfuls of batter into the oil and fry until golden brown, turning over so both sides are cooked.
Drain on a paper towel, dust with powdered sugar and enjoy hot.
