Casserole Cook-Off for Portland Folks

I'm entering. Wish me luck!

See you this Saturday at the first-ever Operation Hotdish: Vegan Casserole Cook-off at Peoples’ Coop!

Doors Open: 4:30pm
Event Time: 5pm-7:30pm
Admission/Registration Fee: $5 per person

Casseroles: You are encouraged (but not required) to bring a vegan casserole that feeds 8+ people. By paying the admission fee, you’re welcome to try every single casserole present!

Timing: As this is a judged Cook-off, timing is of the essense! Doors open at 4:30pm and all casseroles must arrive no later than 5:15pm. Miniature portions of all casseroles will first be plated (upon arrival) for our special guest vegan community judges. After that, it’s potluck time for all!

Awards will be distributed at approximately 6:45pm.
Cleanup begins at 7:10pm.

This event is a fundraiser for the nonprofit Vegan Iron Chef organization. Our second annual competition will be held this summer, and we’re always looking for dedicated volunteers to help out in advance and simply on the day of—stay tuned for future meetings. If you’d like to get involved, shoot us an email at VeganIronChef@gmail.com, or check the facebook.

  1. How exciting! Wishing you the very best of luck! I really would like to attend, but I'm just too far away in Italy. However, will be looking forward to hearing all about it from your blog, and hoping you'll post your (winning) recipe!
